What can you allow yourself to be a beginner at?

I've always found patience to be a challenge—especially the patience required to be a beginner. Whenever I dive into a new sport or project, I want to excel right away.

But life doesn't work that way.

We need to stop demanding that we look good when we’re beginning something new. 

It’s impossible to get better and look good at the same time.
