Day 199: Crazymakers 😵

Reflect on a “crazymaker” you've encountered. How did they impact your energy, creativity, or goals?

You've likely encountered a "crazymaker" before.

Julia Cameron describes them as “the kind of people who can take over your whole life… Everyone around them functions as supporting cast. [They’re] devoted to their own agenda and impose these agendas on others.”

Crazymakers are often charming and charismatic, which makes it easy to overlook their disruptive influence.

They might show up in your life as:

  • The friend who’s always in crisis and expects you to drop everything to help.

  • The family member who turns every conversation back to their issues, demanding constant attention and sympathy.

  • The romantic partner who creates drama to keep the spotlight on them, leaving you emotionally exhausted.

In short, crazymakers block our creative flow, draining our time and energy.

And to fully step into our creative power, it’s essential to either set boundaries or distance ourselves from these relationships.
