What feeling might you be avoiding right now?
Hello!
Years back, I dove into Glennon Doyle's, Untamed. Soon after, my bedroom walls became a mosaic of sticky notes, each one a nugget of wisdom from the book.
One of Doyle's insights hit home: you’re supposed to feel your feelings.
This simple yet profound idea helped alleviate the guilt I often associated with emotions like sadness or anger. Upon reflection, I understood that these emotions arise for valid reasons. Suppressing them doesn't make them disappear; instead, it leads to them just resurfacing later (and often in a confusing way).
The key takeaway is this: embrace all your emotions as they come. It's an essential part of being human.
