Day 81: Being on autopilot 🤖

In which aspects of your life are you operating on autopilot?

Hello!

And happy Saturday 🙂

Today’s journal prompt was again inspired by Bill Perkin’s book, Die With Zero.

Perkins argues that most individuals default to conventional paths—working standard hours, following common investment strategies, and leading predictable lives—simply because it's the path of least resistance.

In short, they’re living on autopilot.

But being on autopilot is the antithesis of deliberate thinking.

If I had to bet, the people who are living extraordinary, fulfilling lives didn't arrive there by chance. Rather, they consciously shaped their life through deliberate thought and action.

These individuals took the time to envision their ideal life and actively pursued it.

They chose not to live on autopilot.

Journal Prompt

In which aspects of your life are you operating on autopilot?

Reflect on your daily routines, career, relationships, and goals to identify areas where you might be going through the motions without conscious thought, rather than actively shaping your life's direction.

Happy journaling,

Kelsey
