Day 93: Proactive bucket list 🪣

Create your bucket list and include the age or age range for completing each item.

Hello,

And welcome to the start of a new month!

I just can’t get enough of Bill Perkins’ Die with Zero. Today’s prompt was again inspired by his book and the concept of proactive bucket lists.

Bucket lists are usually created later in life, making them reactive, as they become a race against time before you expire.

Proactive bucket lists, on the other hand, are well…proactive.

The aim is to create a list of experiences you truly want to have in your lifetime. But instead of simply listing the items, specify the age or decade of your life when you intend to accomplish each one.

This approach will help you prioritize, actively plan, and start considering your future.

Here are examples of items on my list:

  • Go freediving in Egypt’s Blue Hole (early 30s)

  • Build up enough passive income streams that enable me to start a family without having to work more than ~10 hours per week (mid to late-30s)

  • Take my niece and nephew on a trip to a country of their choosing when they turn 18 (early to mid-40s)

Now let’s go to the prompt:

Journal Prompt

Create your bucket list. Then next to each item on your bucket list, include the age or age range in which you want to complete these.

Happy journaling,

Kelsey
