Get angry đ€
Write about the last time you felt angry. What was your anger trying to communicate to you?
After a six-month hiatus, Iâm back in The Artistâs Way. And my god, it feels like coming home.
Todayâs chapter cracked open the topic of anger. Not as something to fear or shame, but something to listen to.
âAnger shows us what our boundaries are. Anger shows us where we want to go.â
The trouble is, we often get mad at ourselves for being angry. But anger, when listened to, is a messenger. A bright flare showing us what matters most.
For instance, imagine feeling anger when you see a book that mirrors an idea you dreamed up years ago. That anger isnât there to punish you. Itâs urging you to stop waiting and start bringing your own brilliant ideas to life.
Remember: âSloth, apathy, and despair are the enemy. Anger is not. Anger is our friend. Not a nice friend. But a very, very loyal friend.â
