Haven 🌵

Lately, I’ve been starting my mornings with a 20-minute meditation.

During a session, my mind often drifts to the place that feels most like home: the Sonoran Desert.

Maybe it’s because I was raised there, but the desert seems to know how to hold me.

There’s a quiet corner of Sabino Canyon, not far from my parents’ house, that I always return to in my mind. The saguaros stand like quiet guardians. The birds call out in a language only the desert understands. I usually settle on a familiar rock beside the wash. It feels like mine.

And when I’m actually back in Arizona, that same trail greets me like an old friend.

So much of my creativity and clarity has come from that landscape.

It’s a gift how nature knows exactly how to hold you.
