What has become clearer to you as you’ve aged?
In his book, David Brooks describes Illuminators as people who bring curiosity and genuine care to others.
He contrasts them with Diminishers, who make people feel small and unseen. And given the nature of this newsletter, I have a feeling you lean toward being an Illuminator. 😉
But, how do Illuminators help others feel truly seen?
They ask big questions.
Big questions interrupt the daily routines people fall into and prompt them to step back and see life at a distance.
That’s why I’m such a fan of journaling. In many ways, it allows you to be your own Illuminator, asking yourself the kinds of deep questions that lead to clarity and insight.
For today’s prompt, let’s explore this big question:
