Invested 🏗️
If you started fresh today, would you still choose what you’re holding onto—or is it just the investment keeping you there?
Aside from the cute Pi Kapp guy I never worked up the courage to talk to, the only thing I remember from Econ 101 is the sunk cost fallacy.
Daniel Kahneman revisits it in Thinking, Fast and Slow, explaining how we cling to past investments—money, time, effort—even when they no longer serve us.
We mistake walking away for failure when, in reality, it’s freedom.
Sometimes, the best move isn’t pushing forward.
It’s letting go.
Journal Prompt
What are you holding onto just because you’ve already invested in it? If you started fresh today, would you still choose it? What might open up if you let go?
Happy journaling,
Kelsey
