Let them đď¸
If you practiced the Let Them mindset today, whatâs one thing youâd instantly stop worrying about?
The Let Them Theory boils down to one thing: freedom.
âTwo simple wordsâLet Themâwill free you from the burden of trying to manage other people. When you stop obsessing over what other people think, say, or do, you finally have the energy to focus on your own life. You stop reacting and start living.â
Now letâs illustrate with an example.
Imagine a colleague walks into the office in a terrible mood. The old you might absorb their negativity, letting it drag you down. You might have even tried unsuccessfully to lift their spirits.
But what if you simply said, let them? Let them be grumpy. Let them have their bad day. Itâs not yours to carry. Instead, focus on how you want to feel.
The more you let other people live their lives, feel what they feel, or think what they think, the better your life gets. And the better your relationships will be.
Or, as Robbins so wisely puts it, learn to âlet adults be adults.â
