One week away…

until the first journal prompt drops!

Hey, you!

One week from now, on May 1st, we'll embark on an exciting journey with the first journal prompt in our 365 Days of Journaling series!

As we approach this milestone, how are you feeling?

Excited? Nervous? Maybe a little bit of both?

Same here.

To set yourself up for success, I've found it super helpful to do a couple of things beforehand to get in the right headspace. Use these three tips to get ready for the writing journey:

1. Invest in a journal solely for these prompts

I highly recommend Moleskine journals, but any journal will do!

Also, make your journal a personal and unique reflection of yourself. I went all out with stickers on the cover - this brief video shows you what I did.

The more you make your journal feel fun and like "you", the more excited you'll be to journal each morning instead of it feeling like a chore.

2. Create a ritual for your journaling practice

You're way more likely to actually journal if you plan for it ahead of time. My suggestion? Block off 30 minutes in your morning just for writing in your journal.

Chances are you won't need the full 30, but if you do end up using all that time, more power to ya!

Additionally, choose a dedicated space where you'll do your journaling. Personally, I prefer writing at my desk at home since it's bright and sunny there.

I also have a little ritual I go through before starting to write. Right before I begin, I light a candle, and once I've finished journaling, I blow it out.

3. Move this email from “Promotions” to “Primary”

I will be sending out the daily journal prompts quite early each morning.

To guarantee you receive them as soon as you wake up, I recommend moving this email from your "Promotions" tab to your "Primary" inbox.

This guide tells you how to do it (it’s easy).

As you may have already gathered, I'm absolutely thrilled to have you on board for this journey. Together, we'll embark on a path of growth, learning, and healing, and I'm brimming with excitement for what lies ahead!

If you feel that a friend or colleague might be interested in joining us on this journaling adventure, please feel free to forward them this email. They can sign up using this link.

Savor the week ahead, my fellow writers, and I’ll see you here next Wednesday for the first journal prompt.👊

With love,

Kelsey
