Story time đ
What story from your past needs to be told?
As children, story time was magic. Weâd gather on the carpet, eyes fixed on the pictures, letting our imaginations take flight.
But storytelling isnât something we outgrow. Itâs what makes us human.
Long ago, our ancestors shared tales by the firelight. Today, we do the same with stories of jobs, heartbreaks, and quiet struggles.
Stories are how we connect, remember, and make meaning.
Even the hard ones.
As David Brooks mentions in How to Know a Person, âBy sharing their stories and reinterpreting what they mean, people create new mental models they can use to construct a new reality and a new future.â
Some stories need time to settle before theyâre told. But when we do speak them aloud, they often reveal more than we expected.
